To ensure you receive e-mail from E-Cyrano, add news@e-cyrano.com to your address book.
Hey Y'all,
What can I say? I’m probably more jazzed about this newsletter than any other. Whether you’re looking for that nugget of online dating wisdom, an update on Yahoo’s new help section, or an explanation about how a hamburger can have more friends than all of us combined, you’re in the right place.
Enjoy the May issue and please let me know what you think of the new
E-Cyrano.com.
Best wishes,
Evan

E-Cyrano has just undergone a major transformation. Not only have we done a full site redesign with new colors, a clearer layout, and a cool flash ad, but we’ve launched an entirely new package. It means a lot less work for the client, a lot more work from the writer, and it produces amazing results.
The E-Cyrano Platinum Package - for those too busy (or lazy) to fill out a questionnaire, skip it, spend an hour on the phone with an E-Cyrano consultant and we'll write you a brilliant profile from SCRATCH.
Yes, you heard us correctly. And this isn’t just for new clients. Current Gold clients who are stymied by the questionnaire can now upgrade to Platinum. No more wracking your brain, you’re on your way.
Finally, Silver clients who would like their profiles written can now do so for a $30 discount off the regular E-Cyrano prices.

Yahoo Personals just launched an animated dating assistance page: Ask Desiree. I guess I would have liked the job myself, but I’m sure Desiree is a lot easier to work with. And cheaper to feed. Industry insider, Dave Evans, has some interesting thoughts on this venture. As for me, I think Desiree gives sound advice for a cartoon, although her stunning computer-generated looks might be a bit intimidating to the average user.
And I know I'm the last to tell you, but there's this hot site called MySpace.com that's all the rage with the kids these days. It's a little bit Friendster, a little bit iTunes, a little bit soft-core porn, but it's undeniably the apex of the Internet's power. Being on MySpace is absolutely free and there are SIXTY MILLION profiles on there right now. True, most of them are for the 15-25 set, but it's also a powerful marketing tool for musicians, comedians, and even Wendy's, which now has 100,000 people who have become "friends" with a square hamburger.
So if a hamburger can get that much love, why not become friends with a book? It lasts a lot longer and it gives you something back as well.

Congratulations to Gabrielle Kushner for being E-Cyrano’s seventh reported engagement. Not everybody whose profile we write keeps in touch, so it’s hard to keep accurate numbers on our success stories. Needless to say, if you’re getting serious with someone and we’ve been at all helpful, please drop us a line and let us know. We couldn’t be prouder of you! Anyway, heeeeeere’s Gabby:
Hi Evan!
The day we have all been waiting for - Craig proposed to me at the zoo in front of the lions yesterday and I said Yes!!! Without a great profile, he probably would not have e-mailed me, so thank you for your help. Speak to you soon!
