Inspired by a conversation with fitness guru Gregory Joujon-Roche, who is also a regular guest on Leeza Gibbons' radio show, I contacted AOL and was recently added to their Love and Sex Coaches page. Watch out, Dr. John Gray! Be careful, Dr. Ian Kerner! Look over your shoulder, Star Jones! (no kidding, Star Jones is on there) In any case, check it out to read an excerpt from "Why You're Still Single" and listen to a fun 10 minute podcast of me yapping about the book.
After citing Jillian Straus' blog a few months ago, I had to go out and purchase her book, Unhooked Generation – The Truth About Why We're Still Single. Sure enough, it was a winner. Jillian is a former Oprah producer who explores the sociology behind the Gen X propensity to remain perpetually single. Unlike yours truly, she did a considerable amount of research for her book, talking with singles and couples all over the country. And what she's put together is a comprehensive (and readable) look at this 21st century phenomenon. Add in the fact that Jillian just got married herself (which, as we all know, is the mark of any dating expert!), and, well, you should probably just read it for yourself.
Finally, because so many of my clients are over the age of 50, I was asked to write a piece for Match.com's Happen Magazine about the Best Dates for the Boomer Generation. Frankly, they're not that different than what us thirtysomethings do, but perhaps our older readers will find a little creative inspiration for their next big date. |

Great Expectations for E-Cyrano
You may have heard of Great Expectations because it's been the top brand name in personal introduction services for over thirty years. Well, the owner of their Houston center befriended me at last year's iDate Conference and we got to thinking about how to work together. So, starting this week, E-Cyrano is offering FREE twenty minute profile consultations to GE-Houston members in order to help them create kick-ass, one-of-a-kind profiles on the Great Expectations website. Profile writing is offered at a discount. And if you were gonna get all sneaky and try to sign up yourself, sorry, but you need a valid GE member number to get into the system.
